The following is a list of the publishing stages that your manuscript will go through:

Step 1	Submitted	Manuscript has been submitted to 1stWorld Publishing.
Step 2	Reviewed	Manuscript has been reviewed by staff.
Step 3	Approved	Manuscript has been approved to be published. Author has signed publishing agreement and the publishing fee is paid.
Step 4	Production	Manuscript is in the pre-press production stage.
	Content Editing	An editor will review your manuscript and work with you to refine your work
	Copy Editing	An editor will review for spelling and grammatical errors.
	Proof Reading	A proofreader will review your manuscript for final editing.
	Cover Design	Your manuscript will be laid out and formatted to create a final Layout Production Master.
	Cover Design	Your cover will be designed and laid out to create a Cover Production Master for your book.
Step 5	Production Approval	Your manuscript is in the final stage of approval before going to print. All phases of the final book must be completed at this stage.
Step 6	Published	Congratulations your manuscript is now a published book and you are a published author. Your book is now available for order at all bookstores worldwide, Barnes and Nobles, Amazon.com, Yahoo bookstores.

Note: These status steps will be used by customer service to post the status of an Authors manuscript.

When an Author logs in to their account they can click on the status of their book and see the following status steps. The completed steps will be marked with a check and the date it was completed. Here is an example:

Title of your manuscript     Submitted  - Manuscript has been submitted to 1stWorld Publishing   05/01/2003     Reviewed - Reviewed by Staff   In Progress
